The Coastal and Marine Research Centre (CMRC) is a key research centre within University College Cork (UCC). It is part of the Environmental Research Institute (ERI) and the Irish Maritime and Energy Resource Cluster (IMERC) and is based in lower Cork Harbour on the Irish National Naval Base, Haulbowline Island. CMRC carries out applied and basic research and also works on commercial contracts with government agencies and industry. Centre staff teach on a number of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses in UCC and we run tailored short training courses for industry professionals.
